Accessibility statement
Carbon Stealth VCC wants portfolio.carbonstealth.eu and the demo websites in it to be usable by everyone, including people with disabilities, in line with WCAG 2.1 level AA (the standard referenced by EN 301 549 and the European Accessibility Act, Directive (EU) 2019/882).
Conformance status
This website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 level AA: the machine-checkable criteria pass an automated check on every build (see below), and the limitations listed in this statement are known and described.
What we check automatically
On every build the generated pages are loaded in a real browser (Chromium) and checked for: alternative text on every image, an accessible name on every field, button and link, a title on every iframe, exactly one h1 and no skipped heading levels, page language, unique ids, no positive tabindex, a main landmark, text contrast of at least 4.5:1 (3:1 for large text) and target size of at least 24×24 px. The result is part of the site's test suite — a build with errors is not published.
Last check: 2026-09-18 · 41 pages · 0 errors · 21 warnings (target size only, see limitations).
What is in place
- Semantic HTML5: landmarks (header, nav, main, footer), a correct heading hierarchy, lists and tables with headers.
- Keyboard: everything works without a mouse — navigation, languages, forms, the device preview, the cart in the shop demo; visible focus on every element; a “skip to content” link at the top of every page.
- Contrast: each demo's accent and muted colours are adjusted automatically by the generator to at least 4.5:1 against the background.
- Text scales to 200% without loss of content; no text in images (except logos).
- Motion: the demo websites respect the device's “reduce motion” setting; on the home page animations can be stopped with the “Animations: off” button in the navigation (the choice is remembered).
- Forms: every field has a visible label, errors are reported in place and announced to screen readers (aria-live).
- No cookies, no autoplaying sound or video, no flashing content (nothing above 3 times per second).
Known limitations
- The home page uses decorative animations (particles, a “boot” screen, a moving ticker) by design; they are not switched off automatically by “reduce motion”, but they stop with the button in the navigation, the ticker pauses on hover/focus, and the boot screen lasts under 2 seconds and shows once per session.
- Some inline text links (e.g. RSS, the credit in the footer) are smaller than 24×24 px; they are spaced away from other targets, which is the permitted exception under criterion 2.5.8.
- The demo websites show sample content; galleries use photos with descriptive alt text but without a detailed description of every scene.
- The PDF brochure is generated from the accessible HTML version of the same page; for screen readers we recommend the HTML version.
Feedback
If you hit a barrier, email info@carbonstealth.eu with the page address and a description of the problem. We reply within 5 working days and fix it in the next release.
This statement was prepared on 2026-09-18 based on an automated check (tools/a11y.mjs) and a manual review with keyboard and screen reader. It is updated with every release.
